The Uttarakhand Skill Development Society, Government of Uttarakhand signed an MoU with the Apparel Made-Ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council here in Dehradun on Thursday.
The MOU was signed by Akshat Gupta, IAS, Mission Director and Dr RoopakVasishtha, CEO and Director General, AMH SSC. Under the MOU, all the training providers affiliated by AMH SSC will provide Skill trainings in the Apparel Made-ups and Home Furnishing Sector by aligning their course curriculum to the National Occupational Standards (NOSs) of the AMH SSC and shall be assessed and certified by the AMH SSC. The certifications of the AMH SSC, which has been formed by the NSDC would have National /International Recognition and would help the youth of Uttarakhand State to not only get a decent employment in India but would also become eligible for International Openings. This step would also immensely contribute to the ‘Skill India’and ‘Make in India’Missions of the Govt. of India and of Govt. of Uttarakhand.
The Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission plans to get many youths trained and certified by the AMH SSC in the FY 2015-2016 in the Apparel, Made-ups and Home Furnishing Sector.
