The state meteorological centre has also forecast the possibility of light rainfall today and on June 11. Heavy rainfall is also likely in various parts of the state on June 18, 19, and 20. “Giving relief from the high-temperatures, light rainfall is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday. Also, heavy rainfall is expected on June 18, 19 and 20 in most of the places in Uttarakhand which will also result in lowering the temperature to normal. The maximum temperature recorded in Dehradun so far has been 40.4 degree Celsius. There is little probability of temperature reaching normal before June 18,” Singh added.
