Monsoon is likely to arrive in Uttarakhand in the next 72 hours. The normal arrival of monsoon in Uttarakhand is June 22. The Met official said that the southwest monsoon has further advanced to remaining parts of central Arabian Sea, Konkan, Marathwada and Vidarbha, most parts of Madhya Maharashtra, some parts of south west Madhya Pradesh and some more parts of east Madhya Pradesh.
The monsoon is likely to arrive in Uttar Pradesh in the next 48 hours. Met director Bikram Singh said that the date for arrival of monsoon in Uttarakhand for this year has not been forecast by Indian Meteorological Centre, New Delhi so far. Uttarakhand is expected to receive monsoon by June 22.
The Met officials have been monitoring the developing situation. However, things might be delayed by a day or two, depending on the advancement of the monsoon in other parts of the country, he added.
