The allotment of business and listing of questions in the assembly pertaining to departments held by the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat came under scrutiny on Tuesday as the opposition members demanded that the convention of placing the questions related with the CM only on Mondays for question hour should be done away with.
Raising a point of order, the Kedarnath MLA sought attention of speaker on the issue and said that the questions related with the departments held by the CM usually fail to get listed. He said that since CM is holding as many as 42 departments including important departments like Health and PWD, the convention off placing the questions related with CM on only on Mondays should be done away with. Other opposition members including the leader of opposition Indira Hridayesh also supported the plea of the member and pointed out that in last two years, ‘the Monday has never come’.
