State BJP president Ajay Bhatt said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate a slew of projects during his one-day pilgrimage to Kedarnath shrine on October 20. Some newly built ghats along Saraswati and Mandakini rivers would be dedicated to the people. Besides, a Yoga and meditation centre would be unveiled on the same day, Bhatt said. He added that the PM would address a public gathering at Kedarnath before he departs for Dehradun on way to Delhi. “A large number of people living the areas near the shrine would turn up to hear the PM. We are proud of the fact that PM is visiting the state twice in six months. This stands in stark contrast to some PMs who did not care to visit the shrine even once during their stints as PM. Significantly, the PM visited the shrine when its portals were opened after the six-month winter break. And again now, he is coming when the portals are set to be closed for the winter months,” he added.
