Moderate rainfall in next 24 hrs likely

Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has forecast very light to light rain/snow at a few places in Uttarakhand on Saturday. Snow fall (01 to 05 cm in depth) may occur at places with altitude of around 3000 m and above in the State.

 The light to moderate rainfall has been forecast for many places in the State by the Met office on March 15 and March 16. Maximum temperature may fall by a few notches in the Capital and other parts of the State on the above-mentioned dates. Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre director Anand Sharma has attributed this to western disturbances and added that in Dehradun, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 25.4°C and 11.4 C respectively on Friday. 

The weather forecast for Dehradun on Saturday is generally cloudy sky and thunder cloud development/light rain in some areas. 

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 25°C Celsius and 13 C Celsius respectively on Saturday in Dehradun, it is learnt.
