Residents of Govindpuri Colony gehraoed MlA Madan Kaushik alleging the road being constructed in the colony was leading to water-logging and rain water entering their houses. They said Kaushik had promised to have roads constructed last year. But he failed to act on it.Residents of the colony slammed the MlA for not being serious about the development of the area he represents. He is busy with his own real estate business, instead, they said.
It may be mentioned that the continuous shower for the past two days in the district threw normal life out of gear. Many areas were waterlogged. It was almost knee-deep water at many places. Water entered into many houses located in the low-lying areas. This rendered many electrical equipment like water motors and inverters non-functioning.
