The election of the office bearers of MKP College management committee will be held on February 24. The list of eligible patrons and members of the college society who would cast their votes in this election will be declared on February 23, said election officer Ashok Saxena on Monday.
Saxena said that a total of 15 candidates had filed their nomination for the posts of patrons, life and ordinary members of the society on February 7. Four candidates — Dr Ramnath Singh, Kailash Narayan Bansal, Om Pal Singh Yadav and Kuldeep Negi withdrew their nomination on February 13.
A total of 11 candidates- Anil Goyal, Shobhit Manglik, Dr Saumya Goyal, lalit Barakoti, Praveen Jain, Dr Ashwini Kamboj, Meena Singh, Jitendra Negi, Kuldeep Negi, Ashok Raj Panwar and Charu lata Verma are contesting for the posts of patrons, life and ordinary members in the society. The elected members will exercise their franchise for the various college management committee posts like president, vice president, general secretary, joint secretary and treasurer on February 24, he added.
According to election officer, this election is being conducted as per the MKP College society guidelines and all possible steps have been taken to conduct transparent and unbiased election.
