Urvashi Rautela the ‘lovedose’ girl was in Doon on Monday. She was crowned Miss Diva 2015 and will be representing India at Miss Universe 2015. She

came here to offer prayer to lord Shiva at Tapkeshwar temple.

She was born and brought up in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand and later  made big in the Bollywood. She believes she’ll win the miss universe title. “This is why I have come here to  my home town to take everybody’s blessings and wishes,” she  said.

Tapkeshwar temple is as old as the tales of the epic Mahabharata are. It is believed that the legendary Royal guru to the Kauravas and Pandavas in the epic Mahabharata, Guru Dronacharya was born here. Besides, he is believed to have   performed  spiritual “tapsaya” at this place.

Urvashi Rautela met the temple authority before offering  her obeisance  to  lord Shiva. She sought  blessing from Maa Durga too.

All the time she was in the temple, she wore the glittering crown of Miss Diva 2015 and the badge. Mira Rautela, her mother, exclaimed: “We need everybody’s blessing and wishes for our daughter. I pray that God continues to bestow his love on her as he has been doing it till now.”

Vipin Joshi, acharya of Tapkeshwar Temple,  said : “We are really happy  that she came here. These days hardly any youngster bothers to come. They do not seem to believe in God. It's important to be attached to our roots.”

She is in Uttarakhand on a three day tour. She is scheduled to meet CM Harish Rawat during her  stay. Followed by a road show in her birthplace Kotdwar on Tuesday, she  would offer prayers to river Ganga in Haridwar on Wednesday.
