The incident of a minor student being allegedly molested by a sanitation worker in one of the public schools under Raipur police station, Dehradun, having been reported in police station on Tuesday, Raipur police station in charge sub-inspector Abul Kalam said the authority of the school concerned had suspended the sanitation worker from the school a few days ago,
The sanitation worker was said to be native of Assam. He is now absconding. A case under Section 354 of IPC and Sections of Protection of Children from Sexual offences (POCSO) Act was registered in Raipur police station on Tuesday. Teams have been formed and they are now searching the accused. In the written report to police station, victim’s parent stated that the accused had attempted to molest her when she was alone in the campus. Police sources said that the incident has occurred around a week ago.
