State agriculture and horticulture Minister Subodh Uniyal said that the detailed information regarding the origins of the Himalayas and other features of the majestic mountain range should be imparted to the students of the state while he was visiting the Regional Science Centre (RSC) in the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology ( UCOST) complex in Dehradun on Saturday.
He made a round of various galleries set up at the centre under the Summer Camp-2018 during his visit and spoke volume of the works being done by the UCOST. The Minister also visited the biodiversity park and took details of the various seeded species. During a discussion, UCOST director general Dr Rajendra Dobhal dwelt on various projects and plans under operation taken over by UCOST on research and development, extension of technology, and science popularisation.
The Min remarked that RSC is a good institution to inculcate a scientific temper in the people.
