The State urban development Minister Madan Kaushik said that with the implementation of the Real Estate Regulation Act 2017, the interests of both the buyers and the sellers of real estate would be protected. Besides, one lakh homeless people would be given houses under Prime Minister Awas Yojna (PMAY). “We would build houses under this project with the cooperation of private builders. It would help us achieve the target. The builders who would build colonies would have to register their units and the prices before the authority concerned. Such registration facility would be available on the single window system so as to spare them harassment for getting their houses registered. Under this scheme, 50 percent unit of the flat builders are to be sold at the prices fixed by such builders while the prices of the rest of the units would be fixed by the State Government,” he said while inviting the small real estate builders to invest in the State. “The real estate business would see a massive boost with the execution of GST,” he added.
