Dehradun received light to moderate rainfall on Friday evening. Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has forecast light rain/snow at isolated places in higher reaches while very light to light rain/thunder shower isolated places in rest parts of Uttarakhand on October 25 and 26.
The State Meteorological Centre director Anand Sharma attributed this to western disturbances and cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and other adjoining states of Uttarakhand. Doon residents witnessed cloudy sky in the morning and at noon while light rainfall was recorded in the evening which brought the temperatures down by a few degrees.
Sharma also informed that the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 27.5°C and 16.6°C respectively in Dehradun on Friday. The weather forecast for Dehradun on Saturday is partly cloudy sky and thunder cloud development/ light rain in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 27°C and 16°C respectively on Saturday in Dehradun, he added.
