The much-awaited rain and drop in the level of mercury eluded Dehradun during daytime on Sunday with only a minor alteration in the maximum temperature. According to the state meteorological centre weather forecast for Uttarakhand, on Monday the state is likely to experience clear to partly cloudy sky. Very light to light rain/thunder shower is likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts while dry weather conditions are likely to prevail in the rest of Uttarakhand at the start of the week.
For Dehradun, the meteorological centre has forecast mainly clear to partly cloudy sky on Monday. Further, thunder cloud development is also likely to be experienced in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 35ºC and 20ºC respectively in Dehradun on Monday.
Meanwhile, on Sunday the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in locations around the state were noted at 36.2 °C and 21.7 °C in Dehradun, 36.7 °C and 21.9 °C at Pantnagar, 28.8 °C and 14.5 °C in Mukteshwar and 27.2 °C and 15.8 °C at New Tehri respectively.
