In order to implement Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in Doiwala Assembly bypoll segment, Dehradun district election officer Chandresh Kumar Yadav convened a meeting with representatives of various political parties in Dehradun on Saturday and appealed them to follow MCC during election campaign.
He said that all the works related to Assembly bypolls are being done at Doiwala tehsil. Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) has been formed at Doiwala tehsil and candidates can seek permission for election campaign advertisements from MCMC in the segment. The candidates were appealed to seek permission for conducting election campaign and purchasing election campaign materials including printing posters, banners and others from the returning officer. DM Yadav also inspected MCMC and gave necessary instructions to the appointed officers.
In another development, Yadav informed that Election Commission of India has appointed Om Prakash Bakoria as an election observer for Doiwala Assembly bypolls. Uttarakhand Payjal Nigam assistant engineer has been appointed as laisoining officer. One can register their election related complains by dialing on mobile phones 7579213704 and 9456377578.
