Agricultural and linear department conducted a meeting on ‘Aatma project’ which was held with the DM Ravinath Raman in the chair at Vikas Bhavan auditorium on Friday.
DM instructed the linear department to work in sync so that the farmers are benefitted fully by this. Dhakraani, from agricultural and science centre, complained about not having funds for erecting boundary walls. DM asked the officers to present a plan to MNREGA. Suggestions and problems of farmers were also discussed in course of the meeting. DM asked the chief agricultural officer to look into the problem of stall allocation for farmers in ‘saras melas’. Progress of projects involving two financial years 14-15 and 15-16 was also discussed in details.
Farmer from chakrata, Chaitram Gaur, sought permission for apple trees to be made available in Jaunsaar area. Alok kumar Panday, development officer, assured him that things would be attended to.
It was announced that Krishi Mahotsav Rabi 2015 will be inaugurated at Kisan Bhawan, Ring Road on October 25. Among others who would be present at the event are Yashpal Arya, minister, Hira Singh Bisht and Umesh Sharma, MlAs.
