The crucial meeting regarding the preparation of the district plan 2018-19 was held in Pauri on Thursday presided over by the district magistrate Sushil Kumar. DM informed that Rs 66 crore has been allotted to the district for the implementation of the district plan of 2018-19 by the secretary Uttarakhand Finance and Planning and instructed different departments to prepare the proposals in respect to the amount allotted.
DM further said that as per the instruction of the government, the heads of the departments would spend 60 percent of the allotted amount in completing the unfinished works of the previous year while 40 percent would be spent for new works. Kumar instructed those heading the departments to ensure installation of the biometric system to record the attendance of the employees in a fortnight from now. He stressed on the salary of the employee being released on the basis of biometric attendance.
DM asked the Jal Sansthan officers to bring water conservation works under MGNREGA and also asked the Ayurvedic and Uunnani officers to prepare proposals of Ganga gram project and to appoint staffers for the Ayurvedic hospital at Beerokhal whose building has been completed. He sounded happy over the achievement of the district of securing A grade in 19 out of 24 in the 20-point programme.
DM during the meeting instructed the departments to complete the hitherto incomplete works related to the centrally aided and externally aided schemes as well as the state sector schemes at the earliest.
He also directed the district tourist officer to ensure speedy completion of the gate and podium near the statue of Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali at Pithsain. He asked for a proposal on the project so that it could be put before the district planning committee for approval.
Among others, the district development officer Ved Prakash, DFO laxman Singh and district horticulture officer Narendra Kumar were present at the meeting.
