In order to complete Doiwala Assembly by-poll peacefully, Dehradun district election officer Chandresh Kumar Yadav presided over a meeting with zonal magistrates and sector magistrates and gave them necessary instructions. DM Yadav declared July 21 (polling day) as public holiday in Doiwala Vidhan Sabha constituency.
He directed the sector magistrates to conduct inspection of polling centres on polling day and ensure that polling is conducted free and fair in their jurisdiction.
The executive engineers of Public Works Department were directed to open roads with the help of JCB machine immediately if roads get blocked due to rain in their jurisdiction. At any cost, all the polling parties will have to reach their assigned polling centres by July 20 evening. Master trainer will be deployed along with sector magistrate. The polling parties have been directed to keep polythene bag to protect received EVM machines from rain. The election areas have been divided into three zones and 13 sectors. Moreover, DM declared public holiday on July 21 in the Doiwala constituency. All the government and private offices will remain closed on polling day.
