The newly-formed six member high level committee headed by Prayag Datt Bhatt to review norms for natural disasters and related issues held a meeting with officials of the State at Disaster Mitigation and Management Center. During the meeting, officials informed about the work being undertaken for redevelopment and rehabilitation in the disaster affected areas.
The committee chairman said that the committee would hold detailed review of rehabilitation and redevelopment works being carried out in disaster affected areas.The committee members will also go to the affected areas to ascertain the ground reality. They will also check whether people are getting aid according to the norms and if these need to be increased. Keeping all this in mind, a report will be prepared in six months.
