The Special Medical Board constituted to look into the pleas of some doctors to cancel their transfers on health ground has rejected requests of 15 doctors after their medical examination. These doctors who according to the medical board feigned illness would now have to join the place where they were transferred in the recent reshuffle. The board had examined these ‘ill’ doctors on July 07 and 08.
It is learnt that the medical board has also found illness claims of 12 doctors as genuine and in all probability the department would either cancel their transfer or place them in the place of their choice. The board has also recommended re-examination of remaining nine transferred doctors.
A total of 36 doctors had sought cancellation of their transfer orders on medical grounds.
On the insistence of the state administration, the state health department constituted a special medical board comprising of the specialists to look into the claims of illness submitted by the some doctors.
