After recently installing a face mask vending machine in the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) for public use amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the corporation is planning to install more such vending machines in the city. Informing about it, the municipal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey stated that three more such vending machines will be installed in the campus of the corporation and on the basis of one week observation, the installation of such vending machines in the city will be considered. The installation of this vending machine is like an experiment to check whether the public will use it in the current crisis. If the results are positive, such face mask vending machines will be installed outside the smart toilets of the corporation besides some other places, he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the MCD installed a face mask vending machine in the corporation on Thursday from which anyone can get a face mask after putting a Rs 5 coin in it.
