Municipal Corporation of Dehradun, which is responsible to regulate the sanitation and development works in the city, itself needs some attention as the corporation has failed to provide proper sitting space for the councillors.
Taking cognisance of complaints by the councillors, the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari Ashok Kumar, directed officials to take necessary measures. leader of opposition in MCD, Neenu Sehgal said that the councillors are not provided basic facilities at MCD. He added that, there are no proper sitting arrangements or cabin for them at the MCD.
Councilors stated their complaints to the MNA and urged him to resolve these. After a brief inspection, the MNA instructed the officers responsible to resolve all these issues immediately and provide the required facilities to the councillors. He asked the officials to look after the sanitation in the MCD compound.
