The snowy/rainy spell has made the maximum temperature plunge by 10 degrees Celsius in the mountainous region. Things were the same in Dehradun as the city’s maximum temperature plummeted by 6 degree as compared to Friday. Snowfall in parts of Chamba, Vikasangar, Chakrata, Mussoorie and Tehri were reported. Experts say that the spells of rains/snowfall would revive the withering wheat and other Rabi crops. The producers of apple and other fruits based in Chamba, Mussoorie, Falpatti, Dhanaulti and Kanatal have sounded elated with Saturday’s spell of rain and snow, as they are convinced that they bode well for the production of the fruits they grow by way of livelihood.
