Matri files petition in HC against 5 State officials

Matri Sadan has filed a petition in the High Court against five State officials, alleging that they have intentionally flouted  Section 5 of the Environment Protection Act 1986. This was announced by the founder of Matri Sadan Swami Shivanand on Tuesday, the third day of the hunger strike one of his disciples Brahmchari Atmabodhanand has been carrying on  against illegal mining.

The seer said, “Despite the court having directed the state government to stop mining under Environment Act and to shift stone crushers located near Ganga, the state administration seem to have taken no note of it.”  He further said that the petition has been filed against state’s chief secretary S Ramaswamy, IAS Shailesh Bagauli, district magistrate Deepak Rawat, DlO I P S Rawat and DFO H K Singh.

The seer alleged that the state officials had shoved the High Court order under the carpet. Training his guns on RSS, he said that they are now more dangerous than ISIS. “ISIS still claims responsibility for the terror strikes perpetrated at its behest. But while RSS is showcasing its non-political nature its members are being given political appointments in the state.  Though the organisation champions cow protection,  protection of the sanctity of Ganga and the like, it has done nothing worthwhile to save  Ganga. They have never cared to support us while we are carrying out such a long-drawn fight against those out to destroy the holy river,” the seer said, in an apparent  reference  to the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat who has RSS background.
