An Uttarakhand policeman who loves to help others is now running hither and thither searching an African parrot priced in the market at around Rs70,000. Since the parrot fled, the owner and his family are in deep distress.
“It is not because of the money that we are worried but for its love. Such a cute creature of nature with spunk and sweetness alike is being missed by us,” he said. The cop said, “He is appealing to the people to inform police promptly if they spot it (parrot) in or near their localities.” The officer is reluctant to be quoted as it might trigger gossip as well as controversy.
The cop, who is residing in Kishanagar off Rajpur Road, Dehradun, said, “I cannot hope that I would get it back as it is exceedingly attractive and precious. Yet, I am hoping against hope that some generous person would spot it and give it back to me. We dearly love it. I am sure it has not flown far from our residence.”
