Martyr Yogesh Pargai, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Nagaland, was cremated with full military honors at Chitrashila Ghat here on Saturday. A large number of people, including elected representatives and army personnel, attended his cremation. MlAs Bansidhar Bhagat and Ram Singh Kaida, and Vijay Bisht, CM’s representative, aside from the city magistrate Pankaj Upadhyaya among others laid floral wreaths of the body of the martyr before the mortal remains were consigned to flames. A contingent of the army men fired three rounds in the air as the ceremonial mark of respect to the martyred soldier prior to the cremation.
