The move of the Government doctors to lend support to CMS of lD Bhatt Government hospital in Kashipur is questionable. The doctors of the State services including those serving in the administrative positions are being offered No Practice Allowance (NPA) by the State Government. Dr Joshi was caught red-handed when vigilance team raided his house on Friday. The team confiscated Rs350 which he was allegedly charging from a patient.
It was learnt that the CMS paid the price of a professional rivalry with another doctor. This doctor allegedly connived with the officials to lay a trap for CMS in which he succeeded. The action of PMHS to support Dr Joshi is being questioned by some doctors. They contend that the association should not get involved into the episode of professional rivalry.
