Harried kin thronged the control room to know condition of their ‘missing kin' who were undertaking the Char Dham Yatra. People from Kolkata, Nagpur and Delhi, Hardoi visited the disaster relief control room at police headquarters.
Choked with emotions, the kin pleaded from the police personnel to give some 'clue' about members of their families. Atul Pandey, a resident of Hardoi, visited the control room. He was extremely concerned for seven members of his family, including his father, mother, younger brother, his wife and son and two others. He apprised the cops on duty at control room of the fact that on Wednesday morning, his driver called him up. He informed him that the members were trapped under debris in Rambara.
His eyes were moist. "Apart from I and my wife, all members, including my father, mother, younger brother, his wife and son, of my family were left for the Yatra. They last spoke to me during early hours on Monday. They lost touch thereafter. Driver phoned me today morning and now his mobile was also in off mode," he said. Vipin Sharma, a resident of Saharanpur, was trying to locate his kin. He also visited the disaster relief control room and returned with the police website address and mobile numbers of some of the cops.PNS
