The person who had allegedly hacked to death his around seven- year- old daughter has been sent to Suddhowala Jail after being produced in the court on Tuesday.
A case under sections 320/201/120b of IPC has been registered against the accused Victor Thomas alias Daniel and his wife Mahi Daniel in the Raipur police station.
The police grilled the accused and the accused is learnt to have admitted his crime and said that he had hacked to death his daughter in a fit of rage.
He further is said to have confessed having concealed the body after the gruesome murder was committed.
Upon being informed, police had rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the neighbourhood area, Tarla, Aamwala in Tapowan. The body had been sent for post-mortem thereafter.
Sources said that Victor Thomas had got married to Shivani, the mother of the murdered daughter, and he had got married again to Mahi Deniel.
Shivani was having three children. Police said that as Shavani was being tortured by her husband she was forced to leave her husband’s residence a few days ago.
The accused got furious after she left the rented home and he took the revenge on his first wife by killing their daughter, police officers probing the case informed.
Police arrested the accused after the local councillor Praveen Tyagi had registered a complaint regarding the same in the Raipur police station.
