A person was shot dead in Rudrapur following an argument regarding a temple committee funds on Friday. Superintendent of police (crime) Kamlesh Upadhyay informed that during a meet regarding the funds, there was an argument between two sides following Niraj Badoi who was also a local Congress worker was shot dead.
The murder is believed to have been committed due to existing animosity, she added. Sources aver that a group of people including a local BJP worker reached the meeting venue after it ended when Badoi was shot. Police are probing the case and expected the nab the accused soon.
