Seventy-year-old Arun Kumar Goyal who had gone to deposit Rs 1.50 lakh in Punjab National Bank, Arhat Bazaar was shocked to know that someone had stolen Rs one lakh from his bag on Wednesday. Kotwali police station sub-inspector Vikki Tamta said that in his complaint, Goyal stated that he had gone to the bank for depositing Rs 1.50 lakh in his account but two persons who were standing with him at the counter had stolen Rs one lakh from his bag.
Taking cognisance of this, a case under appropriate sections of IPC was registered against the accused in the Kotwali Police Station. To solve this case, a police team has reviewed the CCTV footage from the bank.
