Trouble in marital relationship led an armed forces personnel, Narendra to murder his wife Deepa and later commit suicide in Kandarwala, near Jolly Grant, Doiwala. Dehradun Police have recovered the bodies from a sugarcane field in Doiwala on Wednesday. Bodies were sent for postmortem, said SP City Ajay Singh. The couple had two children.
Doiwala Police Station official said that police were informed about two bodies lying in sugarcane field of Shiv Singh Bhandari at Kandarwala by the local residents on Wednesday morning. A team of police officials recovered the bodies and sent them for postmortem.
The bodies were identified as those of 37- year- old Narendra, resident of Kandarwala, Doiwala and his wife 32- year- old Deepa. Narendra of 39 Garhwal Rifle was posted as Nayak in Udhampur, Jammu.
local residents informed the police that both were missing from their home since Tuesday noon. Both had dropped their children in school on Tuesday morning and after that they had gone missing. Deepa’s family members living in the neighbourhood area of Kandarwala had called up Narendra and Deepa but they had not responded.
Recently, Narendra had reached his native place in Dowiala on leave.
Investigation revealed that Narendra’s conjugal relation with his wife was not good with thelatter being suspected to have illicit relationship with other persons.
