The District Court in Dehradun on Saturday sentenced Nehru Gram resident Rabish to life imprisonment, who had murdered his friend and neighbour Ishrat in August 2010.
Rabish, a native of Bijnor, along with his family was living in Nehru Gram. Irshad and his brother Arshad, native of Bijnor also were living in Nehru Gram, in the neighbourhood of Rabish. Irshad used to visit Rabish’s home occasionally. Rabish’d suspicion of extra marital relationship of Irshad with his wife were raised and he shot Irshad dead at Kalyan Ashram in August 2010. Deceased’s brother Arshad had seen Rabish while escaping from the scene after he shot Irshad dead. Meanwhile, the much awaited verdict on the murder of Irshad in August 2010 was delivered on Saturday. The court of ADJ Vijendra Singh held Rishav guilty in this case on Friday. The Court on Saturday sentenced Rabish to life imprisonment with the penalty of Rs 20, 000.
