A person consumed poison in the Nehru Colony Police Station on Monday when the parents of the girl he had eloped with refused to nod the proposed marriage. The person is said to be in a serious state. This incident left the police officers tense as it happened in their presence. The families of the boy and the girl involved also looked worried.
Dalanwala circle officer Pramod Kumar said that the girl’s parents had registered a case under sections 363 and 366 of IPC against the person concerned in the Nehru Police Station recently. Police had called both the parties to settle the issue in the police station. The families of both the parties reached the police station accordingly.
