A report of a woman, resident of Roorkee, being allegedly sexually exploited by Siddharth Chakraborty resident of Turnar Road, has been registered in Patelnagar police station on Thursday.
In the written complaint, she stated that Chakraborty who was known to her had allegedly raped her after luring her with the offer of a job. She, previously living in Qatar, was called back and was taken to Uttar Pradesh and other States by him where she was repeatedly raped by him, she alleged.
Acting on this complaint, a case under section 376/506/342/420/406 of IPC has been registered against the accused, said Patelnagar police officer Pankaj Gairola.
