A city resident has accused the Dehradun police for unnecessary harassing him. Saudagar Saleem Khan, a resident of Clement town area briefed media persons here on Tuesday that the policemen beat him mercilessly on intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. He said that he is having two wives and due to some differences, both the ladies live in separate houses. Khan said that on Sunday he went to Rishikesh with his first wife Sania Khan to attend a martial art camp.
At this time his second wife Veena Pathania alias Jainab broke into the house and ignited a fire. The fire was doused by the parents of Khan. The police was informed about the incidence of fire. Khan claimed that police did not act on the report of Sania but barged into his house in night and beat him. He said that his family members including his two year old son were forcibly taken to the police station. Khan said that police is working on behest of his second wife and harassing him.
