Reacting to Hridayesh’s protest, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) opined that this was due to the hopelessness resulting from impending defeat being seen by the Congress in the Panchayat elections.
The BJP State media in-charge Devendra Bhasin said that the Congress is clearly seeing a defeat in the Panchayat elections and is hence resorting to misinformation to influence the public.
Before leveling any allegation, the leader of opposition and other Congress leaders should recall the condition of health services during the term of the Congress Government.
Special wards have been made in hospitals for dengue patients and public awareness campaigns are also being undertaken. All arrangements have been made to control spread of the desease and ensure proper treatment of patients in the hospitals, said Bhasin.
Further, the State machinery has also started preparing for the H1N1 influenza which generally afflicts people during the winter.
Attempts have been started to raise public awareness on this. Regarding appointments of doctors, he said that a number of doctors have been posted in the mountainous regions. Presently, there are 2,045 doctors where there were 1,081 in the past.
Additionally, 159 dentists have also been appointed.
There has been a major improvement in the state’s medical health service during the past two years and the allegations being leveled by the Leader of Opposition are baseless, Bhasin added.
