In order to prevent untoward incident during Holi festival, Dehradun District Magistrate Ravinath Raman has directed the district exercise officer to ensure that all the liquor shops remain closed on March 6. An instruction has been issued to have all the country liquor shops, IMFl shops, beer shops, CSD canteen, bars and other such establishments closed till 4 pm on March 6. The district excise officer has been directed to take stringent action against the shopkeepers who are caught violating this order. Moreover, sub-divisional magistrates have also been directed to enforce the order strictly in their respective jurisdiction areas on said time and date, it is learnt.
