Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has forecast cloudy sky and light to moderate rain/snow at a few places in higher reaches with chance of light rain/thunder shower at isolated places in rest of Uttarakhand on Monday.
The weather condition will improve after February 8, said Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre director Vikram Singh on Sunday. Singh attributed this to western disturbances and induced cyclonic circulation over Haryana and neighbouring districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Singh said that the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded 24.3°C and 7.5 °C respectively in Dehradun on Sunday. The weather forecast for Dehradun on Monday is cloudy sky and thunder cloud development/light rain at some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 21°C and 10°C respectively on Monday in Dehradun. The weather forecast for Uttarakhand is rain/snow at isolated places in Uttarakhand. Shallow fog/mist could occur at isolated places in plains especially in Udham Singh Nagar district.
Singh has forecast generally cloudy to overcast sky and light to moderate rain/snow at a few places in higher reaches and light rain/thunder shower at isolated places in rest of Uttarakhand. On February 5,6 and 7 partly to generally cloudy sky and very light to light rain/snow could occur at isolated places in higher reaches of Uttarakhand. On February 8, the weather department has forecast partly cloudy sky and mainly dry weather over the State.
