Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has forecast very light to light rainfall/snowfall in the higher reaches of four districts- Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Chamoli on Friday. For some days now, the State capital has been experiencing warm days with the temperature dipping lower after evening making people wear warm clothing in the early morning and night.
State meteorological centre director Bikram Singh attributed this to western disturbances and said the forecast for Dehradun on Friday is partly cloudy sky. Thunder/ cloudy sky is likely to be experienced in some areas of Dehradun on Friday.
Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30ºC and 14ºC, respectively, in Dehradun on Friday. He informed that on Thursday, the maximum and minimum were recorded at 29.6ºC and 13.7ºC in Dehradun, while 20.0ºC and 9.0ºC in Tehri, 21.5ºC and 6.9ºC in Mukteshwar and 30.6ºC and 10.5ºC in Pantnagar. on Thursday, he added.
