'less development in rural areas of Parwa Doon'

The position of President District Panchayat in Dehradun for long has been occupied by the leaders of Pachawa Doon which has resulted in less development in the rural areas of Parwa Doon.

The newly elected Member District Panchayat from ladpur area of Raipur block Subhash Sharma said this while talking with the newsmen here on Monday. Sharma claimed that it’s been a long period of 45 years since any person from Parwa Doon was elected as the President of District Panchayat.

He blamed the low development in the Raipur and Doiwala blocks of the District on the lack of proper representation in the District Panchayat. Sharma said that after the new delimitation the number of Member District Panchayat in the Doiwala and Raipur blocks have increased.

Throwing his hat for the position of President District Panchayat Sharma claimed that the all the newly elected members from Doiwala, Raipur and Sahaspur blocks are in touch with him irrespective of the party lines. Sharma claimed that this time the hegemony of Kalsi and Vikasnagar blocks in the district Panchayat would end.
