A leopard was found dead in the Corbett tiger reserve on Monday with officials stating that the big cat may have drowned to death. Department staff on patrol during the morning in the Bijrani zone spotted the body of a leopard by a stream and informed the senior officials about it. The Corbett deputy director Amit Verma said that the leopard was about two and a half years in age and is believed to have drowned to death. A post mortem examination was conducted after which the body of the leopard was destroyed.
