In order to go for the electoral battle of the lok Sabha elections 2014 with better media management in Uttarakhand, the BJP has deputed one of its national spokespersons Meenakshi lekhi, to hone the skills of party’s media managers in the hill State.
So all the State BJP spokespersons, office bearers of the district level media cells and other party activists associated with party’s media cell have been invited to the State capital Dehruadun on March 14 where lekhi will address the party’s media managers.
This is a daylong media workshop that the party has convened in Dehradun on March 14, said Naveen Pant, state BJP co-media in charge.Meenakshi lekhi will address the party’s office bearers of the media cell. Besides, senior party leaders will also address the party’s activists associated with the media cell, Pant informed.
It is to be noted that with all forms of media becoming an effective tool of communication, different political parties have tried their best to make the most of the media. Therefore, as the BJP leaders here maintain, it is vital to have better media management to reach out to the people at the grass root level.
The party office bearers of the media cell will be given necessary tips in this day long media works shop to be addressed by BJP leader, they add.
During the upcoming general elections our top priority would be to give maximum exposure to the anti-popular policies of both the Central and State Governments. At the same time our main objective would also remain how to reconnect with the electorate highlighting BJP’s vision and policies for the people. So the main focus of this workshop will be on how to educate the party activists to put forward party policies to the electorate, they maintain.
It may be recalled that the BJP lost all the five seats in Uttarakhand in 2009 lok Sabha elections. Now, it seems with its mission 272 plus the BJP would try its best to improve its electoral performance in the Himalayan State.
