A 38-year-old Vibhendra Singh, lance Nayak of Garhwal Rifle and resident of Rudraprayag, committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan in his Government allocated house in Cantt on Saturday.
Deceased’s wife had committed suicide in the same house on July 13, 2015.
Based on suicide note written by deceased’s wife, his brother-in-law Mahavir Singh had registered a case under section 306 of IPC in the police station, Cantt, Vibhendra Singh was sent to jail for three months.
The deceased had two children living in his in-laws home.
Police said that body has been sent for post-mortem.
