The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (Panwar) has blamed the successive State Governments headed by the BJP and the Congress for the failure to divide assets between Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh 14 years after creation of the former.

The party’s media in-charge Manmohan lakhera said that Uttarakhand is bearing serious losses due to the pending division of assets valued at hundreds of crores. The Government employees in Uttarakhand are also being kept away from the benefits of pension and GPF.lakhera said that the successive Governments in Uttarakhand headed by the Congress and BJP have never worked seriously for ensuring the timely division of assets with Uttar Pradesh due to which valuable assets of Uttarakhand are still under the possession of UP even after the separation.

The State Government should form a separate cell comprising officers and employees along with politicians solely for resolving issues related to division of assets so that there is no further delay in the division of assets.“Since creation of Uttarakhand, the task of dividing assets has not gone beyond holding talks. Both the States want the issue to be resolved through talks but to take the talks to a decisive level, Uttarakhand needs to take a special initiative since the State is not benefiting from the assets and bearing a loss of thousands of crores of rupees as a result,” said lakhera.
