In support of its various demands, the laboratory technicians of the state health service started their agitation on Monday. As mark of protest these technicians wore black arm bands while working. Under the banner of their association ‘Uttrakhand Medical laboratory Technicians’, the technicians are demanding cadre restructure and constitution of service manuals like Central Government. The association is also demanding immediate DPC in vacant posts of Senior lab technicians. The state President of the association, Rakesh Rawat said that the technicians would wear black arm bands till October 02 and thereafter they would undertake two hour work boycott. He said that all 328 technicians of state health service would undertake one day mass leave protest on October 10.
