Kumaon Commissioner goes tough on indisciplined Govt employees

Published on:

The Kumaon commissioner Rajiv Rautela said that it has come to his notice that officers and employees are not remaining present at the place of their posting. Government employees are reaching office late and leaving office before the set time which is affecting the official works. He said that this is a very serious issue which is a sign of indiscipline.

Rautela directed all the District Magistrates of Kumaon region to ensure that all officers and employees are present at their place of posting. The DMs should get the addresses in writing of place where the officers and employees are staying and also get these verified. Despite this if the officers and employees are not found present at the headquarter or their place of posting, disciplinary action should be taken immediately to with-hold their salary.

During his recent inspection at Bhimtal, Rautela had also directed the chief development officer Vinit Kumar to ensure that the officials and employees remain present at their place of posting. The attendance of the Government employees will also be checked in the near future, added the Kumaon commissioner.
