Khanduri trains guns at Harish Rawat

It was a day of public addresses by leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Haridwar on Sunday. The day started with a rally by party workers from party office near Tibri upto Devpura Chowk with hundreds of party workers wearing neck scarfs wearing BJP insignia lotus and saffron caps with Bhartiya Janta party written on them hailing victory to the party in Uttarakhand. This was followed by two public gatherings addressed by the Garhwal MP and former chief minister minister Maj General Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri (retd) at Jagjeetpur and Roshanabad in the district.

Training his guns at the Chief Minister Harish Rawat saying that “he gave nothing else to the state except corruption”, Khanduri said, “In the five years, Congress gave nothing to the state except corruption whether it be the misutilisation of disaster relief fund or any developmental activity. Also whatever good was done by our party was suppressed by the Congress.”

“It is better if Congress can present the volume of work done in the five years of its tenure rather than announcing its manifesto of false promises,” added Khanduri.

Meanwhile the legislator from Ranipur, Adesh Chauhan said that the “massive support extended by the people of Haridwar in the public meeting despite rain and storm was itself a sign of how much they wanted the Modi government reach to the common man in Uttarakhand”.
