The members of the Kumaon Garhwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) have demanded upgradation of the Paiga Police post in Kashipur, Udham Singh Nagar, as the police station to ensure better security environment in industrial area in that region.
The industrialists have also emphasised on need to set up a fire station at Mahuwakheraganj in the Udham Singh Nagar district to deal with any eventuality caused by fire. There has never been any complaint from the labourers working in the industries here. But there are certain anti-social elements from outside who create problems in industrial areas, said Vikas Jindal, president of the KGCCI, urging the district police to upgrade the Paiga police post in Kashipur.
Besides, he also stressed on the need to set up a fire station at Mahuwakheraganj. The members of the KGCCI have also urged the District Police to ensure smooth flow of vehicular traffic on roads. Besides, they have also urged the Udhm Singh Nagar Police to allow movements of industrial vehicles on the national highway in controlled manner even during day so that industrial works could be continued without any difficulty. The industrialists have also demanded from the district police to intensify patrolling during night hours in SIDCUl.
