Replying to a question of a BJP MlA Madan Kaushik, Parliamentary Affairs Minister (PAM) Indira Hridayesh said if any irregularity has happened in the land allocation in SIIDCUl area, the State Government would probe
and take punitive action against the errant officials.
During Question Hour, Kaushik alleged that the State Government has allocated lands to the private builders in Pantnagar, Haridwar and Dehradun at rates lesser than the circle rate.
“Can they do such favours to the common peopleIJ” he questioned in the House.
The State Government has given 23.77 acre land within SIDCUl to Supertech in Pantnagar of Udham Singh Nagar district.
They purchased the piece of land @Rs5800 per square meter and later they sold the land @Rs32,000 per square meter. With this, the company has made profit of Rs252 crore.
This aside, the State Government sold 23.18 acre land to the Antariksh Builder in Haridwar @Rs6,600 per square metre and the builder on his part sold the land @Rs28,000 per square metre. With this, the company made a profit of Rs262 crore.
The BJP MlA invoked Haridwar district administration communiqué in which the official claimed that SIIDCUl Haridwar land price was Rs10,100 per square metre. But the Government allocated the piece of land @Rs6,600 per square metre.
At this point, PAM Hridayesh pitched in, assuring a probe if the situation warranted so. She said action would be taken if any official is found whittling down norms to favour anybody.
Kaushik asked whether the Government would set a deadline. Hridayesh said the probe would be completed before the next session begins.
Seeing BJP MlAs hogging media glare, Congress MlA Heera Singh Bisht said that even four plots of IT Park are being given to the private builders.
PAM said that as per the norms, 8-10 per cent of the land is to be allocated for residential purpose.
She would conduct an inquiry and if any irregularity is found she would cancel the allotment, the minister said.
